WHY VOCABULARY IS IMPORTANT?

  • It is so important to have a strong vocabulary.

To speak any language we need to understand the formation of a sentence & components of a sentence. A sentence is a collection of words placed according to grammar rules, to form a meaningful sentence. For a meaningful sentence, words are as much as important as grammar. So to have a basic understanding of any language we need to know the words of it, that is we need to make our vocabulary stronger. Therefore stronger the Vocabulary the beautiful language you speak, learn & understand.

  • But what is Vocabulary...???

Vocabulary in a simple language can be defined as the words that make up a language or the body of words used in a particular language.

It is a set of words that a language consists of may it be English or any other language in the world if you want to speak the language. You need to know the words of that particular language.

So when you decide to learn a new language you first need to learn at least some basic words from it, then try to uplift your game by learning those moderate-level words and then finally advanced-level words.

So how to get started with it we will discuss it in the next blog post.

And here is the quote from Sheri S. Tepper about vocabulary and its importance...

“As vocabulary is reduced, so are the number of feelings you can express, the number of events you can describe, the number of the things you can identify! Not only understanding is limited, but also experience. Man grows by language. Whenever he limits language he retrogresses!”
